Last night I decided to play a little Star Ocean 4 international. I had just started earlier that afternoon only to find out that the Tommyknockers were on so I went to watch that. As I went back and turned on my PS3 an error message that I’m sure everyone is aware of popped up(error you have been kicked out the psn). I didn’t pay it any mind as I was not planning to go online that evening anyway, but then something strange happened that never happened before… it tried to install my trophy data and when it failed it told me to quit the game? I did this over and over again and nothing was playing it just kept trying to install trophy data and since it failed I could not play my game.
450 f -bombs later I try it again, this time with a different game. I put in Dragon Age to see if I can play and it does the same thing! So I put in Street fighter and thank god… it plays. Just one thing though… All of my downloadable content that I had for the game is gone!!!!!! What the hell sony!? I don’t like to sound like a full blown baby but I have to break my bib and baba for this one guys. There should be no reason and I mean no reason at all that if the playstaion network is down our gaming is down too.I went into the forums and found out I’m not the only one.
I have played many games offline due to the network being down and I can forgive that. I can even forgive having a great game of SF4 going and your down to your last pixel and so is the opponent and he jumps in ready to eat a crouching fierce only to have the network lag your input and c. fierce never comes out… actually I can’t forgive that. I also can’t forgive the fact that I can’t play a game offline all of a sudden due to something that has been a problem since the ps3 has been out. Think about it, if I was able to play games offline before even when I would be ” kicked off the psn” which happens way too often what’s to say that now when I get kicked off I can’t play any rpgs or any game of that matter and if I can play it all my DLC is out the window!?
Sony you guys need to fix this and fix it now. It was ok at first kinda when I couldn’t get online, but once your goof ups start to impede on my personal gaming time we have a problem. I need my games to work on and offline, if it’s not M.A.G. or S.O.C.O.M. it needs to play regardless of what goofy crap it can’t seem to find that it found perfectly hours ago. I’m very disappointed and still have not played Star Ocean 4 international, this is day 2 of this nonsense.
